Arasan vs Broadcom SD Controller Modes

Historically, whenever I’ve tried installing Windows 10 on the Pi, I’ve always had to use Arasan SD Controller mode. However, I was playing around today and noticed that, when switched to Broadcom post-install, the Broadcom one is much quicker on boot.

What is the difference between the two?

Arasan is the only SD controller which has SDIO support.
Leave it for WiFi + Bluetooth, as those are SDIO devices on the RPi family.

Bluetooth uses UART.
